Visiting the R81 Coffee Processing Plant
June, 2025

Inside the R81 manufacturing factory, whole-bean coffee processing operations kick off at the logistics hub under stringent hygiene protocols. Raw beans and packaging supplies are systematically organized across high-density selective racking systems, while personnel undergo mandatory decontamination through an industrial air shower before entering the cleanroom production floor. Once inside, raw green coffee beans are conveyed via pneumatic pipelines to central transfer silos and automated dosing hoppers labeled R6, R7 and R12, ensuring precise recipe batching and uniform blending.

The heart of the processing line lies in the large-scale industrial roasting department. Here, heavy-duty Brambati drum roasters apply precise thermal profiles to each batch, paired seamlessly with high-speed motorized circular cooling trays and advanced cyclone dust-extraction systems that curb emissions while locking in peak aromatic compounds. Once cooled, the roasted whole beans transfer through intermediate buffer hoppers and automated feeding units, heading toward the quality assurance phase.

Prior to bagging, every roasted batch undergoes rigorous quality inspection inside the QC lab and through specialized metal detection systems. Quality inspectors pull random batch samples for standard cupping sessions, grinding, and espresso extraction tests to verify flavor integrity, moisture, and safety standards. Once cleared, the beans move to the manual packaging station, where they are carefully weighed, sealed in specialized valve pouches, and labeled with full batch traceability to preserve maximum roast freshness.
